Where Can Washington Therapists Get Health Equity CE Hours Live?

Washington requires at least 2 hours of health equity continuing education every four years under WAC 246-12-820 and WAC 246-12-830. The training must address implicit bias and include the clinician's own self-reflection, not only assessment bias in clients. Your course does not have to appear on a Department of Health list, and two hours is a floor, not a cap.

What to look for

A training that meets the requirement should say so, cite the rule, and cover both halves the rule asks for: how bias operates inside assessment and care, and how the clinician's own social position shapes what they notice.

Where to find live options

Association calendars (such as WMHCA's and WAMFT's) and provider calendars list live trainings. On Lovewell's training calendar, every training that carries the Washington health equity designation is tagged "WA health equity," and the designation is spelled out when you open the listing.
