Lovewell Initiatives is dedicated to providing continuing education for professionals in counseling, therapy, and sexuality education that is reflective, embodied, and socially conscious. Our mission is to support professional learning that deepens awareness, honors lived experience, and fosters equitable, trauma-informed care.
We partner with facilitators from diverse backgrounds who bring clinical expertise, cultural humility, and creative pedagogy to each program.
Provider Approvals
AASECT Approved Continuing Education Provider
This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification. Completion of any of these programs does not ensure or guarantee AASECT certification. For further information please contact [email protected].

Lovewell Initiatives maintains responsibility for the content of all AASECT-approved programs.
NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider
Lovewell Initiatives has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7776.
Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Lovewell Initiatives is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Continuing Education Policies
Eligibility for CE Credit
Participants must:
- Register in advance and pay any applicable fees.
- Attend the entire program (partial credit cannot be awarded).
- Complete the post-event evaluation within the designated timeframe.
- Provide accurate identifying information, including full name, license type, and email address.
Certificates of attendance are issued via email within two weeks of verified completion.
Attendance & Completion Policy
To receive CE credit, participants must attend all scheduled hours of the event.
Late arrivals, early departures, or missed sessions will result in forfeiture of CE credit.
For live online events, active participation with name visible and camera on is required for full credit.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received 14 or more days before the event start date will be refunded minus a $25 administrative fee.
No refunds are issued for cancellations within 14 days of the event.
If Lovewell Initiatives cancels or reschedules a program, participants will receive a full refund or may transfer registration to a future training.

Lovewell Initiatives is committed to creating accessible and inclusive learning environments.
All venues are wheelchair accessible, and reasonable accommodations are available upon request.

Confidentiality
Participants are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding personal or clinical information shared during continuing education programs.
Recording or distributing program materials without written consent is not permitted.
Grievance Policies
AASECT Grievance Policy
AASECT is fully committed to conducting all activities with ethical principles in mind.
AASECT complies with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content, and participant treatment.
Monitoring and assessment of compliance are the responsibility of the Chair of the Professional Education Steering Committee, in consultation with the Continuing Education Committee, the AASECT Ethics Chairperson, and the Convention Chairs.
Procedures for Handling Grievances:
- If the grievance concerns a speaker, content, or presentation style, the participant will be asked to submit written comments. The CE Chair will forward anonymized comments to the speaker.
- If the grievance concerns a workshop’s content, level, or facilities, the Event Chair will mediate and serve as final arbitrator, documenting the concern and resolution.
- If the grievance concerns the AASECT CE program as a whole, the CE Chair will present the matter to the AASECT Board for review.
- AASECT does not arbitrate business practice complaints.
