About This Training

Clinically relevant, culturally aware, and long overdue — this training brings menopause into the therapy conversation.

Clients describe brain fog, emotional flooding, insomnia, lost sense of self, relationship strain, and shifts in desire — often without connecting these experiences to hormonal change. Many have been dismissed by medical providers, pathologized, or left to navigate this transition without adequate support.

Sex therapy and tarot training, Tacoma, WA

This 6-hour in-person training gives clinicians a grounded, comprehensive framework for understanding menopause and its psychological, relational, and neurological effects. Presenter Rebecca Bloom, LMHC, walks participants through the three stages of menopause, the 37 most commonly reported symptoms, and the cognitive and emotional impact of estrogen decline — translating medical knowledge into clinically relevant language therapists can actually use.

Beyond symptom education, this training explores how menopause intersects with identity, meaning-making, and cultural context. Participants will examine systemic and medical bias in menopause care, learn about current hormone replacement therapy (HRT) options, and develop skills to help clients advocate for themselves in healthcare settings.

Whether your clients are naming menopause directly or presenting with symptoms that haven't been connected to hormonal change, this training will deepen your clinical lens and expand your capacity to support clients through one of the most under-addressed transitions in adult life.
